The Moon

poetry about the moon

The mass mind of man opens up to the moon, seeking to absorb knowledge and through knowledge power, but the moon rejects its youthful passions as playthings and pushes its advances away.

Man lands on the Moon.

Man colonizes the moon.

Man buries the peace and symbolism the moon held for faded cultures and customs.

Man buries the moon in expansionist filth.

Goodnight moon.

  5. C.S. Lewis foreboded this result of human greed in his Space Trilogy. Not sure which of the three books though. The one with the creepy headless or bodiless man, I believe.
