For you; writing prompt and blog promotions

Love to write?  Want free blog promotion?

Here’s how this works.  There’s a writing prompt below for you to take and fly off with.  You can take it any direction you want, and with any form of writing, from poetry to fiction, to a novel if you’re up for it.

Here’s who already participated:

Ramblings of A Bi-polar Woman

Blog of the Imaginator

Midnight Solace

Go On, Make My Day

The Book Owl

The Beauty Within

Tomsnareandsuch

Fiction Favorites

How To Make It Look Easy and Still Have Time For Lipstick

DairyAirHead

A Sacred Journey

Mount Diablo Murder Maybe

Brainstorms: How Epilepsy and Writing Connect

When do I get my blog promoted?

When you’ve written your piece, post it on your blog, linking to this post in your response post to the prompt.  Then comment here, and I’ll put a link to your piece from this post!  Tell others to come check it out to, and let’s see what we can brew together.

The Prompt:

“Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”  - Friedrich Nietzsche

Need some ideas to get you started?

Here’s some;

What music are you listening to?  Who’s watching?  Is there even any music? Is anyone singing along with the music?

These ideas don’t need to be taken into consideration, they’re just there to help spur your mind through writer’s block.   Take the quote where ever you feel fits best for you, as a writer.  I look forward to reading your responses!  Cheers!

Hi Jeremiah and readers! Here’s a link to my poem: http://midnightsolace.tumblr.com/post/43011007698. It was inspired by the prompt but ended up becoming only tangentially related. Thanks for the prompt, it’s a beautiful quote.

  3. aloha Jeremiah. this looks like fun. too many fun choices on the list today. i’ll leave this one here because otherwise it’ll float away into mind space:

    this white song
    of silence in the air
    i dance

  8. Funny, I don’t usually do prompts but I do think about them – and inspiration can be as simple as a single word – thanks for the 10 minute break from my night – to answer your call to “prompt” .. Inspriring!

Thanks for reading my blog, it’s quite elementary but it really is only passing thoughts. I just recently found that I love Mary Oliver, what a wonderful voice! I love also what you are doing here and may try my hand at one of your prompts. Thanks for being here.
